Your Role: This is an opportunity to manage communications and promoting Metawave in solving real world problems today. At Metawave you will have autonomy to be part of the growth of these evolving technologies, working with recognized experts each contributing individually to a strong team. The Head of Marketing and Public Relations is responsible for presenting a strong public image for Metawave in these various markets. You will lead company marketing, public relations, and all related communications programs in both automotive and 5G connectivity industries, achieving strategies developed with corporate leaders. . ​ Responsibilities: Marketing
Work with the executive team to develop marketing strategies
Lead projects to develop and execute marketing campaigns for product launches and programs
Develop a strong working relationship and product knowledge with the engineering teams and the Chief Customer Officer to understand the products, goals and audiences
Develop and maintain marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, press releases and digital messaging, from idea to deployment
Develop presentations and promotional campaigns for webinars
Plan and manage conferences and events to support marketing objectives
Monitor performance, response, and ROI of marketing programs to ensure that they meet program and financial objectives, analyze and report finding to executives
Manage document workflow and approval processes, developing new workflows and production processes for ad hoc projects as needed
Train employees for presentation to various audiences
Propose marketing and PR budgets and manage spending against approved budgets
Manage and support additional marketing production tasks as needed
Public Relations
Lead public relations efforts and outreach, including press releases, notices, blogs and others
Develop and manage Metawave’s message and image
Work with the executive team to develop PR strategies, providing insights, analysis and guidance
Identify speaking opportunities and make appropriate arrangements
Identify recognition opportunities, including corporate awards and individual recognitions, preparing materials for submission
Identify and respond to corporate and product public relations needs
Plan and manage Metawave’s participation in special events, such as automotive shows, CES, MWC and other technical venues and events.
Prepare press releases and approve all external, public communications
Prepare talking points for presentations, and meetings as needed, as well as related materials
Manage and control all Social Media and Social Media Advertising, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and others
Build and maintain a database of all PR and event data
Establish platform to update media outlets with company announcements
Minimum Qualifications: Experience
10 years of experience with designing, building, and implementing comprehensive and effective marketing and communication programs using a variety of methods and channels
Comprehensive executive communication programs using a variety of methods and channels
Outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal communications, active listening and diverse industry adaptation skills.
Working knowledge of all aspects of communications, including strategic planning for various media venues, technical aspects and requirements of various venues, and most appropriate and effective applications.
Knowledge and skills to advise and consult with management to ensure delivery of the desired message to the audience
Ability to comprehend highly technical material as well as industry needs and to write and translate the work in a way that is understandable to a variety of audiences.
Knowledge and understanding of technical applications to effectively direct technical staff, or personally perform technical work, including design concepts, various media, and applications.
Ability to gain understanding of a high technology organization, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices, infrastructure, and match this with a strong knowledge of current affairs, and issues in our technical field.
Thorough understanding and experience in all news and media outlets including the internet, social media and other emerging technologies.
Experience creating clear, easy-to-navigate, informative, accurate, well-designed, and functional web sites that provide web content consistent with the organization's message and in keeping with management directives and client objectives.
Solid skills to create, develop, and implement comprehensive long and short term strategic communications plans
Excellent time management skills managing multiple projects
Highly organized and detail-oriented in work and work product
Ability to work independently while managing multiple deliverables
Highly skilled at delivering and receiving constructive feedback
Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn about complex, highly complex topics
A portfolio of material that demonstrates a mastery of writing and communication planning
Education
Masters Degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent
​ Preferred Qualifications:
Ideally 14 years of experience with designing, building, and implementing
Thorough knowledge of content management systems and relevant web applications used for web production and organization-specific computer application programs
Experience using computer applications for web production, image handling, publishing and design, illustration, presentation preparation, animation, web interaction, and / or other state-of-the-art web communication capabilities.
Experience in the Automotive Industry or in Mobile and Fixed Wireless Network Industry
Previous experience with startups transitioning to growth stage and beyond
