Your Role: We are currently looking for an experienced FPGA and hardware design engineer to work with our team in pushing the boundaries of radar technology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in taking a project from idea through design, build, test and prepare for manufacture. This requires a demonstrated excellence in understanding RF and millimeter wave circuits and hands-on experience with complex systems. . ​ Responsibilities:
Work closely with Metawave engineers on a multi-disciplinary team.
Take system requirements from concept to prototype and final production-grade design for radar applications.
Design the required digital, analog, mixed-signal, power supply, and FPGA circuits.
Understand the implications of incorporating the RF designs from the RF team into your designs.
Adapting existing hardware designs to new program requirements
Support and guide design of circuit boards including digital, analog, and millimeter-wave designs.
Work with engineers to design tests, calibration and other procedures.
Work closely with electrical, software, and systems engineers in all phases of the project, including requirements definition, prototyping, qualification, and production
Derive requirements from systems design, including device selection, interface definition, and carry out product studies
Requirements verification in simulation and hardware
Cooperative debug, test, and requirement verification activities
Creation of technical documents including block diagrams, architecture diagrams, design descriptions, test plans, and technical presentations
Contribute towards continuous technology and process improvement
Minimum Qualifications: Experience
8+ years’ experience in designing hardware solutions.
Demonstrated competency in digital, analog, mixed signal and FPGA designs.
Demonstrated competency in electronic test and validation.
Must be capable of hands-on ownership of FPGA project.
Education
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience with Radar, FMCW and range Doppler measurements
Experience in the Automotive Industry
Previous experience with startups transitioning to growth stage and beyond
