Your Role: We are currently looking for an experienced lab technician that has hands on experience with electronic applications. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in interpreting documentation and schematics, using laboratory equipment and maintaining these in good condition, cabling, assembly and disassembly of electronics. ​ Responsibilities:
Support the engineering teams at Metawave.
Track prototypes and their level of modification
Maintain hardware, equipment and lab areas in good working order, focus on organization, working with resource management and maintaining equipment as needed
Perform prototype validation tasks for the hardware engineering team
Analyze failures in circuit boards and projects to find root cause and replace components.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience
Proficient with soldering and placing electronic components
5 years’ lab experience with electronics. Must be able to read schematics, PCB board files, and assembly drawings to implement modifications needed by the engineering team
Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
Experience in test development and testing of systems involving sensors and optical, mechanical and electrical hardware
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and debugging skills
Knowledge and successful track record in testing and validation
Production test experience desirable
Hands-on experience in collaborating with and managing outside vendors to specify, develop, and qualify test solutions
Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, power analyzers
Experience with using software tools to upgrade or configure prototypes, or for prototype validation.
Experience with troubleshooting PCBs to the component level
Ability to create documentation using Microsoft Office tools
Ability to create clear test reports
Education
BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics, or equivalent

Experience in the Automotive Industry
Experience in Mobile and Fixed Wireless Network Industry
Previous experience with startups transitioning to growth stage and beyond
Computer programming skills desirable
